Interview Evaluation

After you complete the interview you should sit down and evaluate your performance. Below is a list of things that you can do to evaluate your performance, and if necessary identify improvements that you should make for your next interview.

  • Write down as many details as you can remember about the interview.
  • Note the date by which the interviewer stated they would call you.
  • Were you on time?
  • Analyze what you did well and what you could have done better. To be objective, take the employer's perspective when assessing yourself.
  • Did you perform adequate research?
  • What questions made you feel uncomfortable?
  • How was your body posture, mannerisms, and non-verbal communication?
  • Did you stick to the main facts or did you ramble?
  • Were you able to cover all relevant information?
  • How do you now feel about the company and position?
